Yesterday 3rd of April , hundreds of Egyptian workers demonstrated in front of the council of ministers in Hussein Hegazi Street,down town Cairo to demand a national minimum wage.
The demonstration comes after an administrative court order obligated the government : “to set a minimum wage in line with rising prices of basic commodities,”.

Under these slogans, the labour and civil groups protested in front of the council .
It worth saying that The national minimum wage stands at LE 35 a month, unchanged from 1984. A coalition of labor groups and NGOs, that organized Saturday’s protest, is pressing the government to raise it to LE 1,200.
